A little soft black and white to kick things off

Impressions of today - bright sunshine and deluge and blossom

When I looked at the gallery at the bottom of the home page, these were side by side and the effect was even more dramatic. You're right, they really do sum up the weather this weekend, from brilliant sunshine to electric storms. Welcome to April!

These are sort of flower close ups, but the aim was to get a bit creative too so they're in here.

I love looking at fading flowers and bluebells are among my favourite faders

The following are all in part for the fading flowers and in part for the backgrounds.



This looks almost like a shadow, it is in fact another plant further away



And this gives a sense of the forest, trees in the background and light angling through (or it does to me, anyway!)

A couple more black and white

Nectaroscordum siculum, it felt so ghostly even in colour that I decided to accentuate it by desaturating




And just because
